The IGC's monumental building on Dam Square, built in 1916, offers a setting that combines understated elegance with historic character. From small, private receptions to large-scale celebrations: the stately rooms suit every occasion. Large celebrations, anniversaries, gala evenings and corporate celebrations gain a natural allure in this building that a regular event venue cannot match. Our own hospitality team takes care of everything, from welcoming your guests to the very last drink.

The IGC offers set celebration packages for companies and private individuals who want to organise a complete evening at the venue. Every package is all-inclusive: room hire, catering and AV support are always included. Customisation is always possible.

Reception-style set-up, snacks and drinks, 3 hours. Ideal as a stand-alone drinks reception or as the start of a more extensive programme.

Everything you need to know about corporate celebrations and anniversaries at the Koninklijke Industrieele Groote Club.

Yes, the IGC welcomes corporate celebrations, anniversaries, large-scale celebrations, gala evenings and other festive events. The building is fully available for exclusive hire, including catering, lighting and hospitality. You choose your own programme and the matching room.

For corporate celebrations and anniversaries, we recommend getting in touch at least three to six months in advance. For December, we advise doing this well ahead of time, as this month is usually the first to fill up. Feel free to contact us to check current availability; there is sometimes still room even at shorter notice.

The cost depends on the number of guests, the chosen room, the programme and the catering. Because every event is tailor-made, we always work with a custom quote. You can submit a no-obligation request via the contact form.

Depending on the room and layout, the IGC is suitable for celebrations of 20 to 175 guests. The ‘Groote Zaal’ offers the most space for large groups; the ‘Bibliotheek’ and ‘Damzaal’ are ideal for intimate, private celebrations.

The IGC is housed in a monumental 19th-century building right on Dam Square, close to the Royal Palace. That historic setting, combined with exclusive use and our own hospitality team, gives your evening an appeal that a regular event venue cannot offer. The venue itself is part of the experience.

The IGC is located on Dam Square in the centre of Amsterdam, within walking distance of Amsterdam Central Station (10 minutes). Tram, metro and bus lines stop virtually at the door. Visitors arriving by car can park in one of the parking garages as suggested here. The address is Dam 27, Amsterdam.

Yes, you are free to bring your own decor, styling and musicians or a DJ. For the audiovisual set-up (including DJ sound), we work with our regular AV partner, who knows the monumental building well and tailors the equipment accordingly. Practical arrangements apply for styling and decoration, agreed with the team in advance. External caterers are not permitted; catering is provided entirely by the IGC's own kitchen.

Yes, the IGC is excellently suited to evenings that combine a business part and a festive part. Think of a short presentation or speech, followed by dinner and a celebration. The team tailors the programme to your wishes. You can request a proposal via the contact page on igc.nl.
