Space Commercialization - Qosmosys
+50 years after the last man landing on the Moon, Space Commercialisation is finally taking off the ground along Moon Economy development. With +1100 launches alone in 2023, Space industry is growing in a speed of light itself in infrastructure, services from transportation, medical, robotic vehicles, to the law. And this growth rate isn't slowing down with U.S. aerospace & defense economy alone is expected to grow to $1.05 trillion in 2026.
Joan Lu, a member of KIGC, will share with you 'Qosmosys', where she served as Managing Director, CFO, leading over branding strategy, funding, and finance operation go-life set up. A commercial, finance venture with moon transportation services and moon resources management business plans, Qosmosys focuses on helping humanity with space exploration technology, capitalising ZeusX, a spacecraft that is planed to be designed and manufactured by Airbus. Qosmosys is head quartered in Singapore with operation in Europe and U.S. over multiple legal entities and staffs cross the continents. Its organisation, team, technology, funding, along its participation in the Space Commercialisation with be further shared by Joan during the lecture.
Joan Lu is an Industry Finance Commercial Executive of 25 yrs. global business experience in energy, automobile OEM, industrial services. Prior to her Space journey, Joan was the Group Controller of General Motor Great China; and she also served as Commercial Finance Director for both America Region and EMEA Region of General Electric Power Generation Aero Derivative Technology, along other finance leader roles in KBR, Goldman Sachs/Constellation Energy, and Nabors Industry. Currently, Joan serve as CFO/COO of OrbitalMed, a Space medical service venture.
