Economie & Financiën
China is in rapid transition from the world's factory, borrowing Western technology into self-supporting high-tech innovation such as all-electric and self-driving cars and e-commerce. Will Western economy suffer or gain?
For instance, the Chinese car industry is making great progress with developing the next generation all-electric vehicle and the self-driving cars. Other highlights include the e-commerce as well as the sharing economy in China. Not only the technologies are being continuously upgraded, but also the business models that are accompanying the technologies are also innovated. What is the effect of this transition on the relationship with The Netherlands/Europe? Will the Western industry suffer or will there be a joint effort with China to reap the benefits of the current technology cycle, and to enhance the next wave of global technology development?
