Careful handling of personal data is of great importance to our association. Your personal data are therefore carefully processed and secured. In doing so, we adhere to the laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal data, such as the Personal Data Protection Act and - as of May 25, 2018 - the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG).

Responsible for processing personal data

Our association is responsible for processing your personal data. This means that we determine the purposes and means of processing and are responsible for compliance with legal requirements.

Purposes of processing personal data

When you visit our website, request information through our website and/or register with us as a member or participate as a member or guest in an activity of ours, we record personal data about you.

We process your personal data for various purposes. We process only the personal data necessary for these purposes.

The following purposes apply to the processing of personal data by our association:

  • within the framework of the formation and/or execution of a (membership) agreement;
  • to comply with the law (including accounting processing, tax obligations and obligations under court orders or other mandatory laws and regulations);
  • in connection with the legitimate interests of the association, whereby we take care to minimize the impact on your privacy. For example, personal data are processed in connection with:
    • managing or supporting member data, including the creation of segments and profiles for managing members or detecting members' needs; looking after and improving the website, whereby by visiting our website we can determine your (click) behavior in order to provide you with targeted information on that basis (profiling). The logic we use for this is that your IP address is linked to your actions and on that basis your preferences are determined. We always ask for your explicit permission in advance (see below under Website and Cookies).

Website and cookies

The website keeps track of visitor data such as the most frequently visited pages. The purpose of this is to optimize the design of the website.

The association will not sell, rent, distribute or otherwise make your personal data commercially available to third parties except with your prior consent.

Correctness of personal data provided

By communicating your personal data, you guarantee that it is correct and complete. If you communicate false identities, incomplete or incorrect data, the association may temporarily or permanently deny you any access to the websites or parts of them.

Retention of personal data

The association retains personal data no longer than necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the data are processed, and in any case as long as specific regulations require. Members' personal data will be deleted no later than 2 years after membership is terminated. Longer retention of data is only done if the personal data is necessary to comply with a legal retention obligation.

Data on the website will be deleted without delay when requested by the person concerned or their legal representative.

Your privacy rights

You have the right to access your personal data and the right to request correction, restriction or deletion of your personal data. Finally, you can object to the use of your data.

If the processing of your data is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
