Oleg Babinov

Current Russian Investment Climate .

At the recent World Economic Forum in Davos, a straw poll under delegates found that better governance is considered as Russia's greatest challenge for improvement of the business and investment climate. Oleg Babinov, principal at the Risk Advisory Group, will share his insights on the Russian investment climate, describe his views on the risks of investing in the country and on risk mitigation strategies.

Oleg Babinov, head of Russia, Eastern Europe and Eurasia practice at The  Risk Advisory Group, a leading independent global risk management consultancy, advises corporations on the assessment, reduction and mitigation of risk associated with investment in the former Soviet Union countries and in Eastern Europe. Oleg has significant experience in advising on acquisitions, due diligence, crisis and conflict resolution, in which the legal and justice systems often do not facilitate easy solutions.
