This results in higher premiums for the residents of these neighbourhoods, thus increasing inequality in a city. Empowering end-users and domain experts to explore and leverage data analytics tools is more relevant than ever for overcoming AI's negative side effects. Dr. Hinda Haned is Professor of Data Science (UvA) and Co-director Civic AI Lab. As a Senior Lead Data Analytics at the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, she is involved in leveraging AI for the development of drugs and vaccines.
